Garrett's the scanner

i was going through some of my dads things and ran across one of his first Garrett,they are all he ever used this one the control head hangs on a military belt it has 2 coils i about 6 inch and one around 12 inch.is there any way to see when it was made?

the scanner is on a big sticker on the side with Garrett Electronics box 28434 Dallas Texas all on the same sticker.i will take some pictures of it today and post them
