I can't get over the depth this little detector gets in this rock hard, dry as a bone ground. Most targets the ID locks on like a steel trap. Some of the more compromised targets mixed in with the a lot of iron cause the ID to bounce around a bit but still give good enough indications to dig. I love those faint hits, I think the modulated tones are one of the best features about the machine. It sure helps in old sites with a lot of modern activity/trash. Todays digs come from an area I have already pounded with other machines. My opinion of the GBSE it is a definate eye-opener. It will find the goods. Can't wait to hit this site once we get some rain I bet it'll be like Christmas. LOL
