G'day Mate!:beers:

Was up at 4am...figured this big full moon would be pulling all the silver out of the ground! Checked the Forums, made some coffee. Went to the Coinstar, 21 bucks got me a #1 breakfast at BK, then started out totlottin, and snowpilin in the predawn light...running light and fast, still slim pickens, got a nice pair of Foster Grant sunglasses, this 1 dollar Australian coin, which made my heart jump a bit since its heavy and gold looking and the right TID 65 for a gold coin of that size, 2 clicks bigger than a zinc, and 2 smaller than a upChuckCheese token. Has some lady on one side and some Kangaroos on the other. Tried a little deep hunting at a park, stepped in a big steamy pile of dog poop again, just one of the occupational hazards of this sport, good thing I had shoes on! Really great weather, almost too hot! Home by 10..

Yeah, good little wad of change. I hit a couple of chip lots earlier in between light sprinkles. We are pretty much socked in all day with a good chance for showers. to bad about the heat wave up there. HH jim tn

Hey Mud
Great haul, sorry to hear about the brown trout.:yikes:
I have to ask mate, what is your avatar picture? I've been thinking about it for ages!
Regards

Nice collection of finds. Bummer about the land mine. But on the bright side the warm weather allowed you to drive home with all the windows down.

Thanks fellers! Hey there Foggy, the thing in my avatar is a mudpuppy! Some folks call them snot otters or water dogs...they are some sort of large newt, they have external gills, and live under logs and rocks in the water. I've been playing with the settings on the F70...everything except tones, and DE mode...I think I got it dialed in for a few of the deep parks I hunt..I went out this afternoon and found deep coins I missed before, no silver though, but impressive results to me, changing settings on the fly, ground balancing even, sheesh, only took me three years...I see why low settings are valuable for shallow fast and comfortable hunting though..and I can also see why some people can get very frustrated with this thing if they are new to it and running the wrong settings for a particular patch of ground.

Another fine pile of coinage! You da man, Mud!

Little story about Mudpuppies. My dad will NOT take them off of his fishing line! He caught one once and about had a stroke when it came to the side of the boat. Ugliest damn thing I've ever seen! (no Offense, Mud...I'm sure you're a decent enough looking guy) Anyway, he wouldn't touch it, he just cut the line and sanitized the boat.

HH buddy!
