German Coin Find

While hunting a civil war site I found this coin with the 2500, rather interesting find. The pic won't be very good but here is what is on it.
One side is an eagle with tongue sticking out, and some sort of insignia on top of coin by the head,
other side and on top right and left are the words....Deutsches Reich
In the center is a 10
below that is the word...Piennig
and below that is 1921
Cannot really tell for sure what metal it is made of, kinda looks like some kind of bronze or gold color with some off white or cream coloring around some of it. Not sure if I should use the olive oil trick to bring out the detail.
Anyone know anything about this coin?

coin appears to be a 10 pfennig ww1,rev: small eagle, iron material worth about 10 cents.

Thanks Bob!
