Went out to the old park in my town two days in a row. Tried allot of different settings getting the feel for this beast. Dug allot of targets. First day I used the small 5 inch dd trying to hit some gold in the trash. Dug pull tab up looking for gold. 58 pennies, 2 nickels, 10 dimes and two quarters. No luck on the gold or silver, but hey I got $1.98 in clad and more practice on my new machine.
The next day I went back to the same trashed out park and decided to put the 11"dd coil on and try to dig deeper targets. Settings GB 68, disc 10, tone 2+. Started in the back of the small park where there is less trash. Spent about 4 hours digging target after target. $3.48 total: 34 pennies, 1 nickel, 10 dimes, 8 quarters and 9 wheat's. No silver this time, maybe next time. Not pictured below is the huge pile of trash I got.
I had allot of signals at around 9 to 11 inches that were reading anywhere from 70 to 78 and decided not dig. Could deep silver read this low?

Wheaties are still good finds in my book. Gotta be some silver in there too. WTG!! I'd dig some of those deep high 70's targets and see what they are. Good luck and HH. Bob.

Yea I think I will dig some of those 70's. Tested some silver tonight, about 9 to 10 inches inches I was getting readings of 77 to 79. My first time at this park I got some silver, just not this time. I'm sure one I start to clear out some of the trash I will find some.

With all those wheats around, I would dig everything. Why wouldn't you dig the deep ones? ID on a target that deep is probably wrong. It also could be a small shallow target that throws the detector off.

78 sounds too low to me to be a silver dime. 70 might not be too low for a half dime though. Indians might also come in at that range. I hit on silver dimes at 82 or 83.

Thats a nice selection of coins, although i dont live across the pond i am from the UK,most T2 owner over here dig everything over 40 if its a stable 2 way signal but if it bounces between say 70-40 and not stable then its odds on favourite it will be iron.I guess we do this as our silver hammered coins can vary in silver content so this is why we dont knock out foil as that could then mean we miss out on those silver coins.
