Get your blood pumping....!

Went to my local soccer park this morning. The first target looked solid, so, I dug a plug and pulled it. Ran the ol' F75 over the plug......nada........over the hole.....solid target! I dug a little more and put the Garrett in the hole.....I'm close!! Moved a little dirt and in the darkness of an 8" hole I see unmistakable ring shaped gold....and it is big!! The heart is pumping now! Reached in the loose dirt of the hole and I could feel the ring! Then, I pulled this out:

What a let down, but, it is a big gold "colored" ring!

Here is my take for a 6hr effort......17 quarters, 5 nickels, 10 pennies, 21 dimes, a hairclip and the "gold" ring:

Nothing old, no silver, no copper......just 53 clad. But, I was detecting and that made everything worthwhile! Hope you do better.......HH to all and thanks for looking in!

The thrill of not knowing what you are going to pull out of the plug keeps us going. Nice hunt Roland, glad you posted the pictures, Randy

You never know what will come out of the ground,Thats the fun of it hh......Dan

WTG..Roland,the thrill of the hunt!! I was out myself at a small ball park for about 3 hrs.you by far out did my clad shooting, but I managed to dig out a 52 wheaty along with 6 quarters,12 dimes,3 nickles,20 penn. What I found interesting, though was one part of this ball park really started messing with my ltd,it was running out of control! I had to go back to factory default and start over, then i noticed the score boards where elelctronic, and the cables where under ground.I whent back over this area in the default setting and found quite a few more coins. The lower settings didnt seem to hurt my hunt at all, whereas most coins fell in the 4 to 5 inch depth anyway.I quess thats one of the many things I like about this f75ltd is the versatility of this machine in all types of ground and emi conditions......hh rick in mi.

That's funny, Rick! The same thing happened to me when I first hit this park and one other, but, the underground power was going to street lamps with faulty photocell switches (they were energized). Also, while at this last park, my F75 started going a little flakey and I finally figured out (thanks to a post some time ago by one of the resident gurus) that it was being caused by a passing Exmark ZTR mower cutting the fields. Each time he got within about 50 ft. I got broken tones and a jumpy VDI, spurious RF from the ignition, I guess.

P.S. I'll trade you all the pennies I found for your '52 wheatie!!
