Rounded up about two bucks this morning before it got hot. Lots of deep clad in this field but no silvers yet. Also dug a few pieces of canslaw that were hitting around foil/nickel.

The deep ones could turn to silver.
Sone good finds !

nice finds. I hope I can get back to hunting in the early am, the heat after 11pm is too, much for me. I have a 2500, also and I hope to get out Sat. am this week. Hardest thing I do is try to get somebody to let me metal detect on private property, but I have a couple public spots I would like to try.

I have seen people get frustrated with the GTI 2500, and barely find anything. Some years back, Uncle Willy ran some GTI 2500 classrooms on this forum to help some of the users. Once they learned how to set it up properly, they too were astounded on how well it performed. Keep those posts coming.......

Joel,
This particular field, about 3.5 acres, certainly has the history to warrant silver coins. I doubt that it's been detected recently but wether it's ever been hit I couldn't say. I remain hopeful.

Pound it good. If there is anything there the 2500 will sniff it out. You're off to a start. Remember to scan fairly slow. The 2500 has a lot of info to process so isn't a rapid scanner.
