Getting a little idea -

steve in so la

Well-known member
of what some of you go through in winter. The last couple nights have been 24 & 27 degrees - tonight 27 but then going up. These cold spells are few for us but I surely can sympathize with you who dislike cold. Pipes are breaking all over town. My next door neighbor's empty house had water running out under the front door yesterday.
We sure get spoiled here in usually pleasant winters. Keep warm, Steve in so az

I think the weather has shifted and you are getting the colder one, MO has been shivering for quite some time, but warmed up too much and we had the tornadic weather with deaths and lots of damages! My daughter, Tami, used to live in a trailer and their water pipes would freeze and break almost every winter even when wrapped with heating tape! Really a bad situation when the pipes freeze and burst, especially, in the homes and cause a lot of damage and money to be repaired! Glad your weather warms up in the day because most usually ours doesn't and stays cold most of the days, also...a little warmer than nights but not much! I predicted that this winter would be much colder than we have been having for the last several winters and it is and started earlier than usual....we usually have our coldest weather in January and February with lots of snow and ice when we do have colder winters! Hope you and Nancy stay warm and get out early and enjoy the cooler weather for :detecting: Wear extra layers of clothing that you can take off as the weather warms up....that is what we do here in MO when we do go outside...but I stay inside and try not to suffer in the cold and brrrrrr weather! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I think the scientists know something and aren't saying. Remember Dec 2005 when the Sunami hit Indian Ocean area? They said an earthquake of such force that caused the Sunami also rocked the planet on its axis. Not sure how far it was rocked but the computer mapping program I used required an update to correct for the change. I think the earth moved more than the scientists are allowed to say (National Secuity) and that along with the growing amount of sin in the world are causing all these weather changes that are unusual. Just my humble opinion.

a pipe to send your heat here in the winter and then we can send our cool temps back when it 500 degrees there
Have a happy new you steve and nancy

When you are expecting freezing temps, let the faucet run just a little. The moving water won't freeze.

Thanks, I was aware of that and thought I will do so on the outside wash place faucet. After tonight it should be warmer. steve

I let my water drip would rather pay a little more than n emergency plumbing bill because if my pipes burst so does a lot of other folks therefore creating an emergency for a lot of folks at one time resulting in larger plumbing bill because they will be working a lot of hours almost around the clock a few days....Dan

hear everything in the news, I doubt if they got snow. They are warmer than us & very flat land. Almost no mountains there. maybe so tho - Steve
