Getting me a T2

Been wanting to try a T2 for awhile, been reading and watching videos & learning all I can about them. The one I am gettng is one of the older standard green T2's (version 6.5). It has the stock coil and the NEL sharpshooter 5.5x9.5 coils, from my understanding the NEL coil is a very good coil. I will have to wait to spring to try it but I finally have one. Keep them T2 posts comming I enjoy reading them.

Congrats! That sharpshooter coil is really good, works decent in the trash and does well in the more open areas. It is a great general use coil and a perfect size, IMO. So far I have not been impressed with the 11" coil, it works fine but my areas are just too trashy for it. It did very poorly on the nail board test, I save it for the beach and open fields, it does go deep! Consider the 5" coil as well if you hunt in the trash very much, it is great in the nails and pull tabs and I make as many finds if not more with it, than with the sharpshooter. I do find myself using the NEL at the parks as the conditions change so rapidly, the 5" more at my old nail infested sites. I look forward to seeing your finds!
