Getting to be a penny killer!

Since it stopped snowing and warmed up to 20, I figured I head out for little bit and try a trashy campground and park not far from me. I only stayed about two and a half hours before I froze my patootie and dug fourteen pennies and two dimes. All but two cents were five to eight inches down - with the first three inches frozen solid. The numbers were sort of skewed for what I expected, but I'm still trying to learn what the machine is telling me. I was running the factory coin program. Next time, I'm going to load in Bill S' trashy park settings and see if I can't do better. I did get a couple of good sounding hits, but couldn't break through the tundra with the tools I had on hand.

Good luck with that frozen ground, hopefully it will be an early spring.
If your digging pennies at 5 to 8 inchs then your in the best depth.Be patient, and learn those tones, numbers are great, but they don't always tell the whole story.

HH Djay.

hope you do good
