Getting to know the Ace 250...

...I took it out in the backyard for a about 30 minutes. Put it in coin mode and lowered the sensitivity to less than half to learn the machine. Picked five mems and a couple of dimes. I also found a Tamco token that is about the size of a quarter. Nothing great but it helped strengthen my desire to go digging.

I also picked up some fresh batteries for the Whites Classic IDX and C$ too. Need to re-learn them also.

Years ago, when the Ace 250 first came out, I experienced something over and over again that I've shared w/other 250 owners. If the detector tells you you've found a dime @ 2-4" and you've used your brass probe and can't tap the dime @ up to 6", what you've actually found is a pop or beer can buried beyond 6". I have found this to be true over & over & over again. Other 250 owners I've spoken with have experienced the same thing. What's funny about it is you actually did find 10 cents; just not in the manner you would have thought. I've written Garrett with my experience.

Great tip...but down here cans aren't worth a penny! The 250 is so light it is a real pleasure to swing.

The desire will grow!

THinking of hitting a nearby park early in the morning with the IDX and the 250. Figure that will be a good place to start learning the machines again.

and the more you find, you will want to be out there detecting, then you will forget the soreness and pain of using those muscles again! I hope God Blesses you with silver and gold and renews your willingness in :detecting: often and the desire to do it! Go for the GOLD!  Ma

Thanks Ma! Went to a local park this morning and picked up a couple of dimes and five pennies.

Praying your house will sell soon!
