Got skunked this morning, but ran acrosss interesting sea monster.
A bad red tide has been killing animals up and down the coast recently.
Here is one victim. A three foot long squid, still alive.
Little lady was draggin him home for dinner.

Here are a couple of short movies:

Yes, it tastes like you think it does; rubbery texture, slightly fishy taste, great with hot sauce, hot rice, and cold slaw.
Good Hunting and Good Luck.

Giant Squid have much, much, longer "tentacles", at least, the two that actually reach out and grab stuff. The other arms are proportional. Of course, a "Giant" squid of this size would still be a baby, probably a year or two old.

Humbolt squid live in the Sea of Cortez. I'm not sure if they also live in the Pacific, but I wouldn't be surprised. That one is about the right size for an adult Humbolt. Humbolts grow amazingly fast, hatching, growing to full size, and dying in one year.

I don't think I'd want to eat that thing either. Red Tide, plus it just doesn't look healthy.

Maybe this squid will float your boat ... or sink it!
You'd need the lear to BBQ this guy, he was found in Aussieland.
