GIVE IT UP DAVY JONES!!

Well-known member
Davy Jones locker is being stingy at this time of the year! I spent some time on the beach yesterday and dug a bunch of clad as well as these finds, a motley combination of stirling and other and was surprised to find a 1956 wheatie! The beach is like a "box of chocolates....you never know what your gonna get"!!!! It's still cool here in SoCal so I'm eagerly waiting for it to warm up and to see the beaches fill up with people.
I'm looking forward very much to flying to England:ukflag: next month for 3 weeks to do some serious metal detecting with friends :twodetecting:Wohoooo!!!. :clapping:I've done some detecting across the pond before with great results....very exciting as the chances of finding old gold, silver and relics are much greater there!!!!........I just hope the weather is kind to us! and you can be sure, I'll be packing a camera and camcorder to post the finds!!! Happy hunting everyone!!!

Still not too shabby, be looking forward to your posts from across the big pond. Thanks for the pics. Ron

Thanks Ron, the pickings are very slim on the beaches because they have been hit hard for last few months by many detectorists with not many beach goers through the cooler months but there's still a few items out there to be found! I think I only picked up 2 pull tabs:pulltab: so even those are getting scarce!!! Of course, after the storms and waves have churned the beach up some is a good time to go and detect!I

That is a sweet ring! Have to be happy with those finds, especially off season. Keep it swinging!
