Giving serious thought to selling my Minelab Explorer II and all the coils.

Pete in MI

New member
Seems like an unusual thing to sell it but have been thinking of the knee surgery coming up on Monday. The arthritis that is already in my knee (and the doc said will probably get worse after the surgery).

I am thinking in terms of not giving up detecting altogether...yeah will have to get another detector as this would leave me with none (for now) but instead doing something to bring glory and praise to God. On the scales of life, I know what is most important. I am seriously and prayerfully considering the purchase of a new electronic keyboard. I will learn to play it and in the meantime Sherry will be able to use it at church for praise and worship services. It will get more use and be more useful to God than what I could do with the metal detector to further the Kingdom at this time. I am standing on faith in God's Word (Deut 28:EIGHT)

American King James Version
Deut 28:8
The LORD shall command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand to; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

I know God does not make idle promises and that He will bless me in learning the keyboard.

I have to get some pictures taken, number and sizes of coils, etc. Then will be posting it for sale later.

Just wanted you all to know I am not giving up on detecting or running off to some cult but doing what I think is right for me at this time and stage in my life. Will be on the forum to catch prayer requests and see how you all are doing.

God bless.

Pete, I am happy that you are following what the Lord has placed upon your heart. Too many of us, me included, think only of what new toy will make us happy (we think) and spend more time with a hobby. I believe one can always lift up the Lord in our hobby or our daily life, but I also believe that most of us spend too much time doing other things than our Christian walk. I wish you the best with learning the keyboard and lifting up people with your music.

God Bless, Bryan

We all must do what we must do at different times and in different ways to worship and serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus! God does want us to honor and glorify His Son in whatever we do and you and Sherry give Him praise and glory with song and with your music! I know you will learn and learn quickly when you are over the surgery and are feeling better! May the Lord bless you with a nice new electronic keyboard and He will by serving Him faithfully with love, obedience and living holy as Jesus is holy and asking forgiveness whenever our human flesh fails us, but this should not be habitual!

When you do want or need a detector, our Heavenly Father will provide one for you and the health to go :detecting: Keep in touch when you can and let us know how things are going! We love you in the Lord, Bro Pete, and only want the best for you in Jesus' precious name! Amen! May God Bless! Sister Betty
