Go Figure!!

Went out to the front yard last nite to do some dirt fishing. I haven't hit my yard at all this year, and I didn't feel like driving to one of my haunts so front yard it was. Well go figure I am out there about 25 minutes when the Ace starts going nuts between 25 cents and a dime. I dig my plug and scan it, nothing! I stick the pro pointer into the hole and it starts going nuts. I pull out 2 handfuls of dirt and scan it. BAM out pops a quarter and a dime. I put the pro pointer back into hole still going nuts 2 more handfuls of dirt and a penny and another quarter. All in all 6 coins come out 2 quarters 2 dimes 1 nickel and a penny. All clad but it's still my largest pocket spill and right in my front yard. All total I ended my hunt with 11 coins totaling .99 cents!! I also have new hope that silver may be on my property. My house is about 40 years old and I found a 1956 Wheatie last nite. Hopefully that means silver is lurking out there! Thanks for looking !! The pocket spill is to the left of the trash.

Good for you bud! Keep looking for that silver! I'm sure it's there.:garrett:

You should run a detector meet at your house....probably enough loot there for a dozen or so hunters.....:beers: Of course we would probably give most of that loot back to those two bad pirates that hang out with you. Building an education fund might be a better future then a full time PIRATE!

Isn't it nice to just go out when you feel like it in your own place and find goodies! I told someone else on here that "you never know what may be found in your own yard".

I have been doing a lot of research in my county trying to compile a book of old homes, historic sites, and such to detect and just in the past week found a document that led me to a map showing a 1800's military/wagon road very near my house if not right down the road! So if I can pinpoint where this is I will be busy finding the remenants of that.

Keep working that yard!

Don

I hit my yard when I first got my detector for about a month. Then as winter was fast approaching I wanted to "get out" a little. My second trip to the local tot lot yielded me a gold ring and I haven't hunted my yard since. Well guess what I'M BACK!! Too funny John I know for a fact my son would rather be a pirate. His favorite. line is HELLO POPPIT from the pirates of the Caribbean movie!!

Heck, make them pirates go out and detect while you relax in the AC then they can hand over all the booty or walk the plank.

Nice finds
