Goal hit today. No pics.

I surpassed my coin total for 2008 today. 11592 in 2008, 11611 and counting in 2009. I'm getting close to 30k lifetime coins with my pair of Garrett's too. I am quickly running out of steam, though. I might or might not make it in 2009. Its going to take around 15 hunts Last three hunts have been nothing but clad.

I had my nieces for the weekend who wanted to go out and swing but it was raining most of the time. By the time it turned nice, I sent them home. We did have a few good go-cart races before they left and 9 yo Claire avoided a wreck after entering the pits at full throttle that ended in a spin-out and her busting through some tires and re-entering the track headed the wrong way. The young boy who was in charge was not happy and my laughter did not improve his attitude. Drive it like you stole it! Fun stuff.

Great totals Chris. I know how hard it is to get those high numbers. You have great determination, and the finds you have made back that up! Keep up the great work.

wow some huge numbers Chris hope ya hit the 30k soon, yeah we all get a bit tired of detecting at some stage when i get like this i like to kick back & have a few fun days out & go for a road trip some were new or try a different type of hunting no goals just fun.

Its always fun. I just like comparing the current year to last year. I will not find nearly as many coins next year unless I expand my territory again. That is possible if gas prices drop a bit. I think my goal for next year will be around 7500 coins. 10k would be a bonus and a stretch. I've written before that when I started I thought finding 1000 coins would be impossible. How times change.
