Thanks you, Lorraine, I get lots of compliments on the Dogwood almost every year! The blooms turned black and fell off right after I took that picture! All the plants, trees and flowers were affected by the freeze and took them awhile to get looking nice again! I didn't get a pic of it this year, but it was as White and pretty as it usually is each year.

No, the Lilac isn't much bigger now than in the pic! It never has grown very much and hasn't done well where it's planted, but the Dogwood has florrished and become large....it has 3 trunks coming up from the bottom, but was only one little sprig like the Lilac when Tami, my youngest daughter brought them home from school for Arbor Day. Two trees were given to each student for free when she was seven years old!

We have clay soil and most plants don't do well unless mixed with the good soil and etc. If we move, I will miss the Dogwood the most, because it reminds me of Tami.....who was my baby born almost 13 years after Susan and 10 years after my son, David! She was raised practically by herself and we spoiled her buuuuut goooood!  :) I often kid her and tell her she will be my baby even if she is 99 yrs. young!

God Bless!

Oh they have a nice scent and I can smell them before I get to the bush! They are pretty to look at and to smell! God knew what he was doing when he created Lilacs! :)

God Bless!

Thanks Mike! I took them with my Polaroid Camera and then scanned them on my old Scanner and Printer! Haven't tried my new one with the Polaroid pics as yet.....but hopefully they will be pretty with nice colors! You probably have a yard full of flowers and plants....since you do lawns and landscaping......but maybe you are like the Shoe Cobbler who never had time to make his own children's shoes! :)

God Bless!

Thanks dobbie! I do have a nice yard if I can ever get the weeds conquered from taking over and the front landscaped like it should be! I had Zoysia grass for years, but I couldn't take care of it and it choked itself out and the weeds started taking over! And I didn't do much watering last summer when it was so hot and dry and the yard sure shows the signs of it! Zoysia has to be threshed to loosen up the roots and take out the dead grass for it to look good....(looks like a pretty green carpet when it is growing like it's supposed to do)....I was alone and just couldn't do it myself and no money to pay to have it done......Soooooooo, now I'm paying the consequences for it! Cliff has been doing most of the mowing and shoveling trying to improve it as much as he can!

I don't spend much time outside though unless it is to work pulling weeds or cutting grass! The weather gets to me healthwise, especially when it is too hot! I hope it has cooled down for you and you're able to get out and detect when you can! Good luck & God Bless in finding lots and lots of coins and goodies!
