Hey all, so im going to Ocean city again for like the 9th year, lol. Goin monday to saturday if anyone might want to meet up..just let me know. I'm Just wondering if anyones been there lately and had any luck. I hate those trucks that sift through everything, but i know theres still some finds every once in awhile

any tips? I still havent quite figure dout the best way to detect there yet

Tried my 705 there a few weeks back. Vacation--1st try with the 705 on a beach-no sand scoop. Found 30+ targets in a few hours (total-again w/o scoop) Clads, metal bits and a cell phone. About 1/3 of the coins were corroded. So the trucks don't get everything. At least 3 people asked me to find dropped rings-but I couldn't find them.
There is a lot of buried foil.
I don't do much beach MDing becaise I live in PA. (detecting 30 yrs) Usually fishing at night when I get to the salt.

The 705 was impressive on dry and wet sand. I got macro bits of aluminum 6-8" down. I'm certain it will hit on jewelry even deeper.

About 4-5 blocks N of the inlet there are 10+ volley ball courts. Low tide exposes a steep beach that was a swimmg area at high water. So IMO-good potential.

Good luck.

I'm on 54th street. Anyone who's been here know of any good places by me that Would be good to try? I don't really have the ability to go down to the inlet area

Go up to around 94th St (I think). Where the BIG DOLLAR, towering hotels) are. You never know what you might find. several years back I got a diamond tennis bracelet., but honestly never plan on finding much more then coins and a silver ring now and then. hunt the edge of the soft sand near the high tide mark. Down in the inlet you might find more jewerly since the day beachers hit there and the boardwalk. JMO

grid, and drag, area coming onto the beach..then out next to the towel line...Also, like Joe said if you can get near the wetsand high tide would be a good thing...check your tidal charts, lowtide gives you more of this area to hunt...Good luck!!
