Going across the pond to detect...Do I need a voltage converter ???

voltage converter because their plug holes are different and our plugs won't work and most of their outlets are 220 volt and for sure take a power strip.

I think it may be easier to buy a 240volt plug with a USB outlet, the type used for phones. They are available from airport shops, just bring your USB charging cable with you.
Most plugs drop the voltage to around 5 volts.

All I ever use is just a plug adapter. The way you can tell is look at the plug and if both prongs are the same size, you can plug in to an adapter. Every voltage converter I have ever seen seems to die very quickly. Good luck in the UK!

Agreed. This is what I do when heading to the UK.

I use the charger that comes with the Deus I just US to UK travel plug adapters.
No problems with it in the last 4 years doing 4 weeks per year hunting in the UK.

Next trip is Sep 27.
