Going in for first night of work...a lot to learn I am sure...

and speaking of learning...almost think instead of Spanish being forced on kids to learn in school they should learn American Sign Language. I know more people who use ASL to communicate than I do people who speak Spanish.

Think ASL will be a goal for this year to learn as I already have one resident who uses sign language to communicate. That will this year's resolution to learn ASL.

You will do fine and I am sure learn quickly for God has given you the wisdom to fix most anything and He will help you learn ASL! I pray all will go well for you and you are able to stay awake during the early morning hours, for that is a rough time to work until a person gets used to it! May the ones you take care of...be a blessing to you and you a blessing to them! Amen! Ma Betty

Enjoy the new job that God has blessed you with!

Just now realized I was logged in under Liz when I said I was glad you have a job.

It is good to be able to speak multiple languages. Every US citizen should take the time to learn a 2nd language. When I am in So Cal I can understand what some of the Mexicans are saying.

I think speaking another language takes some of the edge off of that "American Arrogance". That attitude comes from rich US tourests and some of our leaders but any thing we can do helps.

The other benifit (huge) is that it excercizes our brains.

Good Luck at the job

Jeff

I took conversational French in high school...only once have I been asked to speak it...and then the guy asking wanted to know how to say things that only a sinner with lust in his heart would want to know. They (thank God) don't teach 'those words and phrases' in high school conversational French. I speak some Vietnamese. I haven't had to use it since Vietnam.
