Got out to a promising site that really hasn't given up much in past years. I didn't have much time before sunset but wanted to try the Deus. Got a good signal walking up toward the hilltop where I have found a few things. Great signal on turned and uneven ground. Dug down eight or nine inches and was able to scoop this from the hole. Always love finding large cents. It was dark and dirty enough I couldn't see the date until I got home. 1840 is old for our area and it has nice detail. Too bad somebody holed it. Hope to get back out to this place in the daylight.
