Going To Nashville

7centsworth

Well-known member
tonight to see Ralph Stanley at the Ryman. For those of you who do not kno who he is , he is a bluegrass singer. Also Ronnie Milsap will be there. Going to enjoy a night with my wife . She gave me the tickets for an early CHRISTMAS present. Pray for our safety as it is raining here.

Praying y'all enjoy and have a safe trip.

Lisa

Have a good time in Nashville. My ex is from Nashville originally, and spent a lot of time there in the 70's and 80's. They had a building downtown that had a restaurant at the top that spun slowly around. Nobody told me that and I thought I had one too many drinks that night. They thought it was funny.

Have a nice trip and enjoy the Bluegrass Music....I like Ronnie Milsap and others who play their fiddles and banjos...my kind of music besides Southern Gospel! Praying for safety while there and for a safe journey there and back! May God Bless! Betty

We had a good and safe time. Thanks for all the prayers. We ate at the merchants , that was a good restaraunt . We ate under candle light and just got to talk. It snowed all the ay home , but the roads were good . We live just over 100 miles from there so it does not take that long to get home.

Very nice . It was Jimmy Dickens 89th birthday and they brought out a cake for him. We seen Connie Smith , Ralph Stanley , Ronnie Milsap, Jimmy Dickens, Emmylou Harris and a few others. Had a nice night with just my best friend (my wife) and me. It is nice to bealone sometimes.

Good to hear you are back home safely and enjoyed your visit while there! May God Bless you and yours! Betty

don't know the one guy but have heard Ronnie Milsap (not live though)..I mean in a live concert (as opposed to hearing him dead??/)

My homeplace, where I grew up and my brother still lives, is about one mile from Ralph's house. My older sibblings went to school with he and his brother Carter. And I think somewhere along the way, we are a little, tiny bit kin but I sure don't want anyone to know that.

Well, ddl, I can understand, because where I'm from in Southeast MO, if you search hard enough most of the people are kissin' cousins to each other! Someone said one time that since there weren't too many that weren't kin is why they married those who were kin but, but hopefully, not too close!  May God Bless! Betty

Hi Betty, I am in Southeast Mo too, I just signed on, am new to MDing...so very glad to find a Christian page...I know what you mean about kiss'n kin stories around here.

Welcome, splendor. Please post often. A great group of people here. Just like one big family.

Welcome splendor, so nice to have you on board and from Southeast MO....Hope you do great in MDing in the coming year and find lots of nice goodies! This CMD Forum is made up of a family of Christians and we are brothers and sisters in Christ to each other, so I guess you can say, We are related through our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ, for we are in God's Family. I am originally from Bunker, MO and lived on Beefork Creek about 6-1/2 miles out of Bunker where my brother and I attended school until he left home, but I graduated in 1953! Been in the St. Louis area for years, years and more years! I live in South County and been here since 1974!

Where are you from? Southeast MO covers a lot of territory! My sister lives in Newburg, MO about 15 miles South of Rolla! Please post and let us know about you, as we enjoy reading about our members and their families! May God Bless you and yours! Amen! Betty

Welcome splendor , glad to have you . We are family here so feel free to ask for prayer anytime and post often.
