going to st martin and st thomas anybody have any tips for metal detecting that your willing to share?

I was there years ago. From that I remember there is a beach not too far from downtown to the west where the Navy trained frogmen and another big beach on the north side of St. Thomas that was almost deserted at that time.Never made it to St. Martens. Hope you find a bunch. Post again whenyou get back.

I was there nov. last year, the water was ruff for metal detecting,
i found only 1 gold ring, but i was lucky to find a old 8'' bronze spike with
a piece wood in the middle. You should try around KIM SHA BEACH and ORIENT BAY(very crowded there)
and GREAT BAY was no good but my HOTEL was nice.
