Going to the Indy 500

A friend of Joan and I called us Saturday evening and said he had two free tickets to the Indianapolis 500. I have been to the Brickyard 400 several times but not to the Indy 500. Anyway pray for us as we go to the race today. I use this time to witness to many, and there are many there. Pray for our saftey to and from and while we are there, and pray that we can share Christ with those with whom we have a chance to speak.

Hope you and Joan have a good time at the 500! It was nice of your neighbor to give you the free tickets. The Talladega race track is close to me; approx 40 minutes away, but I've never been to a race. Racing is very popular around here but I've never cared for it - at all. Things get cranked up at Talladega every April and every October and it's always a big thing here. I believe I'll just stick to college football (the SEC), college softball, and Major League Baseball! I will be praying that God will open doors for you to witness to people and for him to send you across the path of those who are ready to hear and receive. Of course you might have to yell over the roar of the speedway noise!!! Have fun!!!

We made it to the Indy 500 ok today. No problems in or out. Good race and got to pass out some gospel tracts. God will use them to bring people to him. It was good to go, but have to come home and watch the tape to see the race. At 220mph it is hard to see the race. You only get to see a small area. Same way with the Brickyard. Thanks to those who prayed for our safe trip.

Congrats on a great day at the Indy 500 and getting to witness by passing out tracks....because you never know whom the words of God might touch and save them! God Bless! Betty

I bet you guys had fun! :)

Yep, Mike we had fun. Good race with lots of action, and good weather. Tony Kanaan had a big wreck just a few feet from us. Love the smell of a race. Did not have a bunch of drunks around us. Good seats for free. We set in the North Vista at the north end of the track about 4 rows from the track. We usually set in the fourth turn and about mid way up for the Brickyard. As I said for free, we could not complain about the tickets.
