GOLD 1/2 SOVEREIGN

Goldstrike

Well-known member
Second best find from across the pond. Don't ask me what the settings were because I was in shock (still am) to see what was in my hand:surprised:. The Safari 'rocks' and is my main metal detector and I must confess, there are times I'm tempted to take it to bed with me!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way!!!! (just kidding)!!

Congrats Goldstrike, you are living up to your name! I look forward to finding one someday.

As I recall, it came up at a solid 18 and I believe I had it set in C&J. I don't recall the sensitivity setting, probably about 16 and I usually have it on High in almost all areas I detect. There is a subtle difference in the tone of pulltabs/ringpulls versus gold so I did think I had something 'special' at the time. In searching for gold, there's homework to be done combined with a 'gut feeling' about various prospective sites but as we all know, most of it is luck and being in the right place at the right time! I hope this helps!

Kschae4...thanks!...Yep, you've got that right, it was the best so far and we are only 4 months into the year so I hope to even do better than what I've found so far!! (I am an optimist).:clapping:
