Gold 14K Ring......2nd for 2015!

My Safari led me to another gold ring today! After digging a bunch of tabs/ring pulls and assorted junk along with a handful of coins, I went over to an area where I've seen soccer being played in the past. I went and detected around what I think they used for goal posts.....2 bushes and after a few minutes....a solid 12 signal and an inch down produced this gold ring!! Persistence always pays off!!! BTW, I was at 16 sensitivity and in A.M. I know the sounds can drive you crazy particularly when there is so many screw caps, tabs, foil and everything else but I have pretty much gotten used to it and I just look for those gold targets!!!!

Thanks T.H.!!

nice find  That green grass looks sooo awesome. It's gonna be at least another 2 months befor I can get out again, lows below zero here:ranting:

I feel for all those that are having the bad weather right now. I have kids out of state and one in Illinois that has the nasty winter weather as well. It was in the 80's here and I'm always thankful for such great weather most of the year here in SoCal.

Thanks Markinga! My wife took the minivan so I'm stuck indoors for the moment! Guess where I'll be this afternoon though! I had gone over this soccer area before (nothing marked out but they play soccer there occasionally)....and never really with a plan or as thoroughly as I should have. Also, sometimes you can approach targets at different angles but not quite get a good signal so that's why I open it up and go A.M. with the sens; on the high side to get as much info; sounds and I.D. as to what my coil is passing over. I have slowed down as well to give the detector time to pick out targets. So far it's working well!
Now for that next gold ring that's waiting to see the sunlight again:clapping:........lol!!

Thanks Kenny D and Kschae4!. I hope it thaws out soon for you so you can get out and start swinging again! It would truly drive me nuts if I had to stay in because of bad weather. I would have to get a summer (2nd) house in the Bahamas or Jamaica or somewhere warm lol!! The cold weather won't last forever!
