Gold and Silver but long time coming

Finally, a gold ring. 10k ruby (simulated I am sure), but with five little diamonds. I got to checking and it has been the end of July since I pulled any gold out. The 1967 Half and the 1968 nickel was near the ring and appears to have been pulled into the water from their dry sand resting place. First time all summer the tide had scalloped the water edge. In some places, a thirty foot chunk of sand had been removed, down about two feet, and pulled into the water. It did not last long, went back the next week and everything was sanded in again. I did pull the older silver Avery ring out. I was using my new improved went to Minelab an Excal 1000, but came back an Excal II 1000 detector. I love the way it has been performing and can't wait until the area un-sands down here in South Texas.

Way to go Kevin, I see you use the Excal, I bought My Excal II, two weeks ago and have been getting all kinds of Jewelry ever since. Great finds you got there, Gene

Good find , Kevin.
I haven't found any gold myself for quiet some time, I gotta break this drought I am in.
Will hitting a few swimming holes this weekend for sure and you just never know what you'll find.
Just recently a couple of kids where fishing along a river bank and found $100,000 dollars in cold hard cash, handed it into the police.
In a few months if some-one has not claimed it, it's there's.
Now that is a good find.
The story as follows,

Two Australian teenagers who found almost 100,000 Australian dollars in cash during a fishing trip have handed it over to police - after spending some time thinking about it.

The pair discovered the money earlier this month near the New South Wales town of Nimbin - a centre of hippie culture where members of numerous communes annually celebrate a festival to promote cannabis use.

The teenagers contacted police on Friday, after revealing the find to an unidentified adult they know and getting some legal advice, police said in a statement.

Inspector Greg Moore said police were investigating whose money it might be, and whether the stash of cash was linked to crime. "It could be proceeds of ill-gotten gains," Moore told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on Monday.

Police had searched an area at Tuntable Creek where the teenagers found the money, but found no more cash and no clues, he said.

He said the teenagers, who were not identified, might be able to claim the money if no one else comes forward with a legitimate claim.

HH and cheers
