Gold at last

Been telling the guys at work about all my finds. And I got call from one of them.He said he lost his prize grange ring that his father had given him.Seems he was out in the woods feeding the turkeys and some how the ring fell off.He asked if I could help.Well I instantly said yes.I told him that should be easy for my Safari. So I go to his house and he shows me the suspected area.Well it was all covered in leaves and brush. After ground balancing I headed across the area.I started getting all kinds of signals.I new the range for gold so I ignored everything else.Well not finding any gold yet sure made it an exciting hunt.It sounded like a big ring so I figured the tid would be 18 or 20.After about thirty min. I get a 16 and a nickle tone and after all the pull tabs I've dug I figured it was another one.So I clear away the leaves and I see that shiny gold color.Hooray i found it.What a hunt.Took it and gave it back to Dan.Well to see his eyes light up made me so happy. So there you have it. My first gold and I had to give it back.It was all worth it to see his face.Sometimes it's just as exciting to return a find as it is to keep it.Hope there is some more gold in my future.Winter is coming fast.My days are numbered.HH all

Congrats Dave and thank you for being a great ambassador to this hobby! I am a true believer in karma and I hope there is something very special in store for you to find in the near future for your good deed. I look forward to hearing about what it is. The hardest gold to find is the first piece. Now that you "know" you can find gold by swinging over it, I hope there is a nice piece of it waiting for you to come along very soon. Happy Hunting -Marc
