Hello Fellow Seekers,

Gold closed today at roughly $1187+. So the bottom line for metal detectorist appears to be this: the more you hunt - the more you find - the more you find - the more you earn. Maybe it's time we get creative in where and how we hunt? Your thoughts are?

I would if I could get out as often as possible to try and find the lost gold rings, necklaces and etc. but just cannot!! With as high as gold and silver is getting to be in price, there may not be as many buying any for presents or wearing them to lose! The dollar is really sinking in value! Gold and silver are worth keeping, but paper money isn't! Will it take a wheel-barrow full of $$$$ to buy one loaf of bread like it was in Germany????

God Bless! Ma Betty

I sold a little silver today! :)
The higher gold and silver go the more people getting into the hobby and the less people can afford gold. Less and less out there! :(

Hi Mike, my friend, Liz, sold some gold tack pins, silver and scrap silver last week and she rec a little over $500.00 for them! She had bought a cute little box of some tiny pins and etc for a dime at a church sale years ago and she rec over $50.00 for just it alone! Another was a silver ornate cuff for a $1.00 and rec a nice price for it....can't remember just how much, but she said she did really good! Went to an honest dealer in St. Charles, MO....she lives in Spanish Lake of North County! I think with the $$s falling that I will just keep whatever I have for a while longer! Would be nice to pay off some debts though! Congrats on your selling some silver and hope you put the amount paid for it to good use! ;) :) God Bless! Ma Betty
