Found this during a one hour hunt. Didn't dig much junk. Some can slaw, wheat penny, then this little gem. I can see hallmark but need to clean some dirt off. Garrett GTI 2500, 9.5" imaging coil, 4" in the ground, ID'd just above nickel.

No I didn't know this. Thanks for the info. It makes sense now since it didn't really look like a cuff link. Looks like it would be inserted into a button hole or something.
 
Actually is a lapel pin. Shows how much I know. Learn something new every day.
