Man what a day hit a large tot lot this morning i was going to give it a quick go over & do some grass hunting but target # 4 was the little 22k ring ( witch is the smallest i"v found & came up as a tin foil-5c tone ) so i decided to hit the park hard. target # 6 was the 9k cross ( came up as a 5c tone ) then at the end of the hunt the little gold bell showed up ( came up as a tin foil signal ).
Both the ring & the bell were about 4-5 inch deep witch is strange as this park gets hit hard by a few detectorists who obviously don't dig tin foil ( thanks guys ).
i also found $19.60 in 33 coins + all my lovely junk. the US penny in the junk is for sizing purposes to show ya gotta dig all the tin foil to get the gold.
heres the pics.
happy hunting

thanks all this is the first time i"v got more that one gold at one tot lot so i"m fairly happy about that.
the little ring is a strange sucker with the little chain joined to it i think it"s meant to be connected to another ring or bracelet ??? it looks to be Indian.
hay Mick haven't herd much from you lately have you been getting out ???

Who says you have to pan for gold? You find it just laying around! Great job! Yesterday I dug about 15 foil targets and found 15 pieces of foil!

yesterday I went to a school yard and dug every target above iron.............after three hours I had a pouch full of trash.........again
starting to think my town kids don't lose gold ...lol

A successful hunt for you....

Nice day. I'd be somewhat satisfied. Make that extremely satisfied.

Chris

My three pieces of gold I got this year hit on foil.

There are definitely places that people lose more gold. I have found gold filled in WV. and plenty of silver. The real stuff I find in FL. I know I am stereotyping, but minorities seem to wear more gold. WV. is more than 96% white.

If I dug every foil signal, I think I would be able to compete with this in no time at all.

Thanks all again
Khouse i use to run around in the hills & creeks in NZ looking for gold nuggets found a few to but i"m finding more gold at the tot lots now than i ever did prospecting.
Goes4ever kids don't lose a lot of gold - adults - moms dads & grandparents do i haven't had a good run at schools i"v only found one piece of gold ( it was my best so far ) just watch people around your area & see who wears the most gold & were they"er most likely to lose it. i hunt were adults play with kids & swim these are two of the best areas to hunt for gold.
Chris mark me down as very satisfied:devil:.
John are there a lot more older retired people in FL?? retired women have nothing better to spend there money on than gold so start following those older women around bet your gold count goes up you might even get lucky  remember i wont 15% of you finds for that info :heh:.
Goldburn i got one of those in my shed hang on i"v gotta go check it"s still there cant trust no one these days  since i started digging tin foil & pull tabs my gold count has gone way up get a bit sick of it some times but i just think of the gold. one of the local detectorist has been dropping little triangle bits of cut up coke can in all the nearby tot lots & that gets me going :ranting:
thanks again for the comments

I haven't been out as often as I'd like, so I've been hanging around in the background a bit. I've been getting out with the GTI a bit more. It's slowly growing on me. I've also spent a fair amount of time looking at non Garrett machines. Even bought another toy at the week end. The irony is, the more I check out what's out there, the more impressed I am with the Garret machines. For sorting our gold coins out from screw caps; out of all the detectors on the market, I still haven't found anything that does it better than the Ace.
Mick Evans.

yeah i cant put that little sucker down ether i"m normally hunting old silver coins flat out at this time of year but i cant stop hitting the tot lots with the ace as i keep finding gold. new toy what is it ??? i"m thinking of getting a new detector to my old water machine is a bit tired i don't know what i"m getting yet.

SpokaneDigger it took me 4 years to find my first bit of gold jewelry. if you take the advice from all the gold jewelry hunters on this site you"ll have some gold in no time.
