Was just out fooling around at the penny park and up comes this nice 10K ring at about 3" down, nice 32 nickle number. This is ring #16. Thanks for looking....Z

ez4sure it is a hobby and that is about all I do out there is fool around. Sometimes someone will come along and ask me about something and before I know it I am ready to go home and I haven't started detecting yet a few hours later. Time just seems to slip away....

Jim when I found the ring I could hardly wait to get home to put it up here. I was really lucky that I found it late in the hunt other wise I would have stopped and gone home very early in the hunt. Like my wife says I am here only to be a pain in the rear to all. And she says I am very good at it. :bouncy:

Mud I have changed the settings on the F70. Sens@55, Thresh@-3, Disc@1, Tones@3H, notched out tabs. I have never used the notch on the F70 I had to get the manual out and read how to do it. It really runs a lot quieter in those trashy areas. I started digging those 5-9 ID numbers. I don't much care to dig those 20s IDs. :puke:

Thanks for reading guys. Happy Trails....Z

Rick nice IH there again.... Great detecting...Thanks for the reply.
Elton it is just the averages that are working here. This year I have been out 76 days, 2 to 5 hours per day. So I will run into some good jewelry just by being out there so much.
Thanks for the encouraging words Elton, appreciated.....Z

Thanks Bart it is kind of a neat ring. I didn't even know it had a diamond until I looked at the picture of it enlarged. :) I guess even when I look I don't always see what is there...:yikes: As I get older it is hard to deal with small with everything. The whole world writes to small, pictures are to small, signs are to far away, my toes are to short to see looking down, my bladder is to small for the night...
Thanks for reply....Z

Congrats on the very sweet gold ring! IMHO the more you hunt the nore you stand a better chance of a ring like that! Beale.

That is how I look at it.. I just go out there to have fun and what ever happens it is the way it is. I think I have more surprises because I don't really expect anything. It is just to get out there and hunt. Every time I recover a target it is recovered with appreciation. Even if it is that beat up zinc that isn't good for anything..... Thanks for replies...Z
