Gold in the Wood Chips

Treasure Mike

New member
Went to local park today and was searching under the seats at the swing sets when I got a 12-14 hit on my MXT. Just covered in the wood chips I found this men's size 8 gold ring. It is not marked but it tested as 10K. The very small stones tested good as diamonds, or should I say "Diamond Chips". They are pretty small and one is missing. The ring is somewhat bent on one side. It looks as though it has had some rough use over the years. It weighs in at 2.6 grams. Thanks for looking! Mike

Gold is gold. Nice find. I have got to get me a couple of testers like yours. HH Dennis in Idaho

I agree with Dennis..."gold is gold". Very nice Mike. Looks like it was a very pretty ring in it's day. Makes me want to go play in the wood chips. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, we've got the same testers. Great tools and not all that pricey.

P.S. I do love those wood chips. When we hit a playground, that's my first stop!

Where is the cheapest place to get those testers? Thanks, Dennis in Idaho

I bought both of those testers on Ebay. Look under "Gold Tester" and "Diamond Tester". I paid about $100.00 for the gold tester and about $75.00 for the diamond tester. Mike
