Here's a non precious heart and a 10 K (stamped 414) bracelet with black Hills gold and small silver hearts. Pretty heavy, it must be worth quite a bit with today's prices.

Don't need stung! Good job reporting them! :)
Nice digs, I like the bracelet! What is ib the middle?

I thought it was, but didn't enlarge it! It is a very nice piece! Congrats!

Your pics are too big...

Very nice finds! The bracelet is a keeper for sure (love that black hills gold) and I can't think of ever seeing a post where someone found a lock with the key still in it :)

Killer bees huh? Just out of curiosity, how do you know they're killer bees? Is it their behavior?

HH!

but everywhere in the southwest and moving your way fast - about 90 % of the feral hives/swarms are killer bees. This is what the researchers say. They also say one has to look under a microscope to determine this. Nancy knows a lot about these bees as she is deeply into the Master Gardener program at the University. She volunteers her time. We had a hive set up in our outer attic boards and had to have it removed a year ago. Now with the increased temps they are on the move again. We hit 94 today :( Steve

It gets too cold for them up here, or so I'm told. That would be scary though. Glad you didnt get stung. Nice going on the goodies!

your places don't looked hunted out to me! Just that gold & silver is getting scarcer to find! Congrats! God Bless! Betty

No, places are not hunted out - I have dug about 3500 coins this year. But in year's past there has been a lot more gold & silver showing up. I think people are becoming more careful with their jewelry as the prices rise, Steve

Dude you need to wear your bee suit and carry a rifle. I only deal with poisonous snakes and alligators. I ALWAYS carry my pistol when going in the boggy creek areas.

Bee careful!
