gold plated JFK

mudpuppy

New member
Found 4 JFK halfs this summer...this one was a fresh drop on a soccer field, somebodys good luck charm probably...and the quarters were in a spill stacked up neatly 4" deep.

Mudpuppy;
We were coin roll hunting a couple of years ago doing about 1000 dollars a week and ran across a gold kenedy. yours is the only other we seeen. The coin guy said that there wer people making up funny sets or something like that to gold plate and make extra bucks off them. No gov issue or anything valuable so we sold ours for the big 50 cents ; Great find tho.
Congrats

Thanks Grumpy...As with any "gold" colored item coming out of the ground, it sure makes a fellows heart go "pitty-pat"
Thats gotta be good for you right?

Their toss coins are fun to find. You can sell them back, too. :) Just find out where you soccer association meets and show up ever so often with your toss coins and a price.
