Gold Ring (10k), a Sac, and a Zippo

Couple hunts netted me a 10k gold ladies ring, junk ring, a Sac Dollar, Sears sparkplug guage, and a Zippo lighter. Also found a $14.40 in clad. Here are the highlights ...

They were actually three two hour hunts for a total of about 6 hours. One of the hunts I hit a hot spot for quarters.

I hate you. I went out for a long time today determined to find some gold. Just like last Thursday I would detect for 10 minutes and a team would show up to practice. I wound up at a good park and dug every signal and even hunted with only the gold notches on for a spell. I am in a serious drought with gold.

Of course I was kidding when I said I hated you. Congratulations on the gold ring! It sure is pretty.

Thanks, All the gold I have found this year, 9 gold rings and about 10 other pieces of misc. gold, have all come in in the nickel range, or just a notch below, on my ACE 250. I don't think I've ever dug a piece of gold on the pull-tab signal. But my guess is signals may differ on different machines and also depend on the soil conditions. Probably also depends on how its sitting in the ground, on end ... flat ... etc... There are probably a lot of variables to consider.

That's the hot gold ring range on land in my opinion.
Gold rings up in the pull tab range are most probably
a bigger ring and if someone lost it and had an idea
where they could probably spot it. Smaller gold
rings in the foil and nickle ranges are a different story.
Much harder to see even if you have a general idea
where they may be, Nice gold count you have too.
I can see that you know your Ace 250 very well.
Always appreciate seeing gold jewelry posted and
glad I saw yours. Only around here at limited times.
