gold?

Hi ..

heres a ring I found yesterday in a bark play area...got a signal with the etrac.. rock solid 12 - 22.. so low pull tab numbers, dug.. saw the lovely shiny silver colour, pulled out the ring and first thought was "white gold".. the diamond I would assume is fake.. looked for the stamp... cant see any, so the question is.... what looks like gold, vdis like gold but is not gold?, is there such a thing.

Yep, it's called 'Costume Jewelry', I find stuff like that alot here.

cirtainly looks like it... though I have found heaps, literally of costume junk jewellery and never came across any that vdi's so perfectly like gold, I should say it weighs 3grams.. so its in the ball park with weight too.interesting little mystery.

I have found many a gold rings with no karat marks...did u do the magnet test yet....? If it passes that...invest in a acid test kit....ebay...!

Gold or not .. Nice Find !! I would definitely have it tested by a jeweler
