GOLD!

Oi!
I was able to get out this morning for a few hours. I returned to a double lot where a couple of old Victorian houses stood. Previously I'd done OK there finding a bunch of Wheat Cents, a few Indian Heads and some silver (Mercury Dimes and a Washington Quarter). This morning was slow and I wasn't finding much, mainly newer Lincoln Cents and a bunch of garbage. I did find two Wheat Cents. Then I had a signal that was kind of broken, but was ringing in like it could be a deep nickel. I was hoping for a Buffalo or maybe a Liberty Head but nope.....GOLD! It was about 7 inches deep. Haven't weighed it yet, but it's marked 14K. Made my day! Thanks for looking!

Cheers!

Mud.

Thanks! Today I was using my old White's Spectrum XLT. I like that machine for when I hunt on spots where they tear down houses. It seems do a good job detecting in all the house debris.

Looks like your persistence paid off.. very nice find.
May be an old one judging by the depth.. NICE!!!!!
