Golden or Cort

I would say neither. For salt water dry beaches aren't you going to want a manual ground balance? The Cortes only GB's in AM. Wouldn't the Vaquero or Outlaw be a better choice? Or the Tiger Shark?

I'm with Dan, neither one , GL

Considering the coils you mention, I'd look for a clean, used Eldorado umax or the same in a Banditto II umax both of which have manual ground balance..

Thank you all for the info. I already have a Bandido II uMax, just bought it about 3 weeks ago. I have sent it to Tesoro for a check up can't wait to get it back and try it out. I used it just one time before it sent it off threshold was not so good. Thank you again for the informatiom BarberBill, dan d and Hank68.....

If I had to choose between those two detectors on dry sand , I would take the golden as you could notch out a lot of the trash.

sandnut,

Do you still have the Bandido ll

The tiger shark worked flawlessly at gulf shores when I went so that is something to consider ,GL
