Golden uMax

My Golden uMax is very unstable when I switch to DISC mode. Nice and smooth in All Metal but when I switch it to DISC it gets unstable. Have to lower the Sense to 3 or less to get the static jumping out. Do I need to send this unit out for servicing? Tesoro doesn't fix these anymore, where would I send it??
 
I think, to give any information or help on this one, members need a lot more information re what is happening.

For example, where are you doing your testing? What kind of electrical interference is there, in your area? What are the control settings you have set on the Golden (besides sensitivity)?

What do you mean when you say "static jumping out"?
 
Tesoro really won't repair them? I have been looking for one, but that will be a deal breaker if true. With my luck, it will break before its paid for itself.

Who told you Tesoro does not fix them anymore? NOT TRUE! If you bought it new, they will honor the lifetime warranty even now. If you bought it used, they will still fix it, but you will need to pay the $50 service fee, more if the problem is more costly... But they do fix them.
 
I continue to receive terrific service from Tesoro. On these occasions that I have called them for information or help they are there. The last time I called on how they install handle grip was about 3 months ago. (By the way they dip the handle in rubbing alcohol and slide it on quickly).
Last time I had to send a machine in was 5 September 2014.
