I would like to contact anyone who has used Goldpic for sub-aqua use. I am wondering about oversized coils and towing them to map out large area's. Perhaps a coil one meter by 20 cms. I guess another way would be to make a magnetometer and do it that way ?.

Hi All,
I'm looking for Goldpic 16F84 source code, anyone can help ?

Your helpfull given appreciated.

Thanks and regards.

Peter

Looks like goldpic 3 is a lift from Mark Stuart's Microcontroller PI Treasure Hunter with a few changes.

1 Head phones has been replaced with an serial A2D & LCD display & RB7 (pin 7) is used zero A2D reference
2 Coil driver source has been changed from RBO (pin 6) to RB6 (pin 12)
3 Quad bilateral control signal has been change from RB3 (pin 9) to RB5 pin 11

Another similar unit using AT90s2313 was published by Yuri Kolokoolov. It is a much simpler design. A later design revision is much like Mark Stuart's one with Led ladder display as an improvement.
Coin of 25mm dia can be detected up to 20cm which looks like what goldpic3 can achieve.
