question below to Information Please you stated that you need to analyze the primary use of the detector. What is the primary purpose of the Goldquest Aquasearch? Shallow wading in the surf for gold items? Also I realize to waterproof a detector is expensive but for the price difference between the Goldquest and the GA I hope there is more than encasing the electronics. I heard that the rod/coil placement has been modified. Are there any more differences for the price difference? Thanks Again from Foiled Again Jim

The primary purpose is two fold. A waterproof gold unit to be used either/or. One can use it nugget hunting or beach hunting for jewelry, and not worry about getting it wet. It
 
In addition, all the controls are external and waterproof, plus there is an external volume control. Waterproof connector for the phones/charger too.
