General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Goldquest Aquasearch V2, with performance upgrades!

I have decided to sell my Goldquest Aquasearch V2 PI. I purchased the unit new from Surfscanner Detector's in 06/20/2006. I have many performance upgrades, over the stock unit and all modifications to the unit itself were performed by Mr.Bill at Surfscanner's. For starters the unit has been modified to be stem mounted, as opposed to hip mounted. I had brackets modified for a Garrett Mark II, by a friend and it works great. Mr.Bill cut the excess coil wire off so I did not have to deal with all the coil wraps around the stem, but there is still enough coil wire to mount the control housing under the cuff. I believe this also enhances the signal, because of less wiring resistance. The stock 11" coil was unruley in the surf and very difficult to control. I also discovered that the unit could not be run at 10uS, as advertised in my area, with stability. I had Mr.Bill fit an 8" coil on the unit and it can now be run at 10uS and is very easily controlled in the surf. I have extra coil bolts, nuts and washers and an extra upper handle.The unit has the White's headphones, which are more desireable than the Grey Ghost, on this particular model and they have also been hardwired, by Mr.Bill. The unit has been impeccably maintained. The unit has been in to Surfscanner's recently and Mr.Bill has checked the unit out and it is working great. I am asking $1300 and will consider paying the shipping, firm. GH

Not that desparate to sell it. If that's all I can get, then I can keep running it. I like it and may just keep it!
