Goldquest DD coil

What is the advantage in using the DD coil on the Goldquest SS
Is there any depth advantage

DD are for mineralized soils, they run quiet usually without the noise a Mono has in those conditions. A Mono is a deeper reading coil than a DD. Normally on most beaches a Mono is all you need. If you have a beach that does have higher mineralization for what ever reason and alot of junk then you may need a VLF. If you are talking nugget hunting, it is the same if the ground is "hot" the DD will run smooth generally, while a Mono will be noisey and mask the subtle signals. Don

Hi Guys,
There's one thing Don didn't mention, although not a biggie. A DD will nearly always give a double blip over hair pins, small bits of steel wire and some nails, although I'd only rely on this at the beach, and not nugget hunting, since a small flattish nugget on edge can, and does at times, do the same.
Cheers
Kev.
