Goldquest deapth and use

Only had my SS a couple of weeks now , still on the learning curve on signals , iron,bottle tops, coins etc, there is quite a lot of practice needed to ascertain the different sounds and length of signals , no gold as yet but great results on deapth,tests, buried a mans wedding band at 16" came through no problem,how far would you go up the sat speed if at all to get the best sweep speed for normal use , <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
 
For Max. depth run the SAT as slow as it allows. The slower the better.
You would also need to keep your sweep speed slow also.
