Goldquest ss can it be made more sensitive?

Hi Bill, got it today and I can pickup the earring and the nugget. Great job Bill,:clapping: Thanks for everything. William

I used it for 2 years and found very little. Due to a botched rechargeable battery mod, I shorted the whole thing and had to send it in for repair. Mr. Foster graciously sold me his used GQ v1.0 electronics board ( I think its the last of the series) and Mr. Bill did the repairs. For whatever reason, it turned into the best danged detector I ever owned.

If your buying a used GQ detector and suspect its been tampered with, I highly suggest to spend the dinero, send it to Mr. Bill to give it a check up.

Back when I bought my PPD1 from Eric he had designed it to where it would not respond to small pieces of foil. At that time in PI developement, that was seen as a plus. But by the same token I found that some gold rings that registered in the foil area on my VLF also would be ignored by my pulse. I'm not sure how Eric has the response set-up on his newer units, but I found That if I increased the pitch to an incredibly fast speed then, I could also hit the rings. The only downside was that running at such a high speed knocked out the pull-tab discriminate.
