Goldscan 5 as a relic machine?

It would seem that with the goldscan, the cw buttons, minnies and brass/lead that most relics are would hit as low conduct. would id as high tone on the goldscan5. There are several areas that are hunted out from the surface to 9" that the power of the goldscan would penetrate deeper to pull those deep goodies out. Am I missing something here?

Hi Pullatab,
You could be right. There are, no doubt, other uses for the Goldscan 5, besides nugget and beach hunting. It is hard to say categorically which targets will go either high or low tone. Generally, small, thin, or relatively poor conductivity metal targets will go high. This could well include the items you mentioned. As things get rolling, no doubt, different targets will be tested and we will have more data on the detectors responses.
Eric.
