A little information for those that have been patiently waiting for their Goldscan 5

Bill,
2 questions about Golgscan 5.You might have covered
this all-ready.
It has a rechargeable battery built in.if a person
is out in no-man's land no way to re-charge it.
Can you use regular battery's.
2)Meter where is it located.Discribe how meter is
read,writeing on meter or picture.Thank's.

Frank
The battery pack is 15 volts. If your in no man's land, and it goes dead, one needs a second battery pack or your out of luck.
The meter realy is there for a battery check device. It can second for a signal device as iron/non-iron. reading if one throws the switch on for that.
Mr. Bill

The battery meter does not give one accurate data ,just the indication of the state of charge, battery 14.4 volts ,speaking to Eric at his home yesterday ,he said about 4-6 mths before the Goldscan will be in full production , waiting for it to come here in the UK. will be ordering mine as soon as available

14.4 volts, I said 15 V., close enough for the point I was trying to make.
The time difference on the units shipping is because the units destined for the US will be first up on the shipping. We need to supply the purchasers that have been waiting already. They will start coming in 2 or 3 at a time until Eric get

I await all the feed back on how the units work on the beach ,I also use Eric for my pi detectors my latest purchase was the deepstar3 a very deep detector indeed ,happy hunting

Bill,
Second battery pack.is there a place to plug it in
on the detector or do you have to opean up the
detector in the field.

The unit is self contained. They are 4, 1/4 turn cover screws one would need to release to change the battery.
Mr. Bill
