GOLDSCAN HELP?
I have a goldscan pi(Built in probe, belt mounted battery-wont part with it for anything-Anyway i want to remove the meter as i never use it and it would make it look a little more steamline(and save a little weight-would the detector work as norm if i remove it or would i need to replace with a low ohms resistor?
Thanks for any advice.

Hi TJ,
Just remove the meter. It does not need to be replaced with a resistor. The main purpose of the meter was as an aid to ground balancing, as you adjusted it for a null on iron mineralised ground.
Eric.

Thanks Eric for your advice-I only use the goldscan on the beach (if i used it inland i would need a mechanical digger it finds the smallest thing DEEP.
