Gonna buy a GPS System this long weekend, did a quick search on them and it seems Tom Tom or Garmin Nuvi, any information out there I would appreciate

Most all the name brand ones are good. It is just a pain in the butt to put them up and take them down every time you park the vehicle. They are one of the #1 stolen items out of vehicles.

..... my GPS works about 7 hours on internal battery power. Can't take the mighty Tundra on a hike.

Most of us just use a GPS when driving where we are not familiar with the roads. Unless you are a real estate, service / delivery driver, needing GPS most every day, really don't need an in-vehicle GPS.

It's always a good idea to clean the suction cup marks off the windshield after use .... or buy / make a beanbag GPS holder to sit on the dash or center console.
